What is <\/em>Canis Hippocampi<\/em><\/strong>?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

As a zoologist, I am very familiar with the scientific naming of animals: Genus species<\/em>. As such, I decided to name a species of my own creation in a similar way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Canis <\/em>is the genus that includes wolves, my favorite animal and inspiration for much of my work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hippocampi<\/em> is based in the word ‘hippocampus’ which is both the genus name for seahorses, and a mythological creature from which Canis Hippocampi is based on. The hippocampus is also the name of a part of the brain that deals with memories and emotions. This is why it is such a fitting name as I draw my work from my experiences in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combined together, a creature of wolf, horse, and fish is born. It serves as the representation of my creative journey.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
